Powerbiking 2006 250cc British Champions with Gary May

Powerbiking again backed Gary May this season and claimed the 250cc British Championship title after Snetterton.

2006 was an excellent start to the season for Powerbiking and Gary May with the 250cc team. Firstly a new major sponsor came on board, ` 4 Com Ltd`  enabling the purchase of the new 2006 Yamaha TZ250. The first round of the British Championship was at the Brands Hatch Indy circuit, Gary secured pole position but unfortunately crashed out on Sunday morning scoring no points for the Superpole race but battled to a 2nd and 3rd position in the main races.
The season went from strength to strength from here on. Round 2 Lydden Hill: Qualifying - 3rd, Superpole - 1st, Race One - 2nd, Race Two - 1st.
Round 3 - Mallory Park: Qualifying - 1st, Superpole - 2nd, Race One - 1st, Race Two - 1st.
Round 4 - Croix En Ternois: Qualifying - 1st, Superpole - DNF, Race One - 1st, Race 2 - 1st.
Round 5 - Snetterton: Qualifying - 2nd, Superpole - 1st, Race One - 1st, Race Two - 3rd.
Round 6 - Cadwell Park: Qualifying - 2nd, Superpole - 4th, Race One - 3rd, Race Two - 1st.
Round 7 - Snetterton : Qualifying - 1st, Superpole - 1st, Race One - 1st, Race Two - 1st

Round 8 - Pembrey : Qualifying - 1st, Superpole - 2nd, Race One - 1st, Race Two - 1st.

This coming weekend is the final round of the Championship at the Brands Hatch GP circuit. Brian Gray will also be competing in the Super Sidecar event. Results will follow.
