Powerbiking Ltd offer all aspects of motorcycle training from CBT to advanced riding courses. Working alongside well established training school Quickstart Mainline Ltd, we aim to give our students the best standard of training we can, whilst sharing our knowledge of riding on the road.
These are the courses we offer:
CBT - Compulsory Basic Training - £123
This is the foundation course on which all our students begin the aquisition of skills which can lead to becoming competent, safe riders.
The CBT is a one day course which starts at 8:45am. Throughout the morning you will be taught elements of the highway code and also will be given guidence on what clothing you should and shouldn't be wearing. During the rest of the day you will be taught all aspects of motorcycling before going out on the road with one of our qualified instructors. Should you be successful in completing your CBT, you will receive a CBT certificate which is valid for two years. This will allow you ride anything up to a 125cc motorcycle on L plates.
CBT Revisits - £40
Should you need further training to obtain your CBT certificate, we can offer a revisit course to ensure you are a competent, safe rider.
Motorcycle Theory Test - £31
To obtain your full motorcycle licence, you must complete a motorcycle theory test. The theory test will gauge your knowledge and understanding of riding theory and of the highway code. The theory test consists of two parts; multiple choice questions & hazard perception.
Direct and Accelerated Access - £730
Direct Access courses are designed for people of the age of 21 who wish to ride larger capacity motorcycles. This is the most direct route to getting your full motorcycle licence.
This course includes:
- Nine two hour lessons of 125cc/500cc training.
- Arrangement and booking of your DSA tests
- DSA test fees.
- Use of a motorcycle whilst in training.
- Use of helmet, gloves & wet weather gear.
- Third party insurance.
- VAT
- Petrol
A pass of the module 1 and module 2 tests will allow you to ride any capacity motorcycle with your full motorcycle licence.
Restricted Access - £475
Restriced Access courses are designed for riders under the age of 21 or for people who have no wish to ride a larger capacity motorcycle but want to obtain their full motorcycle licence.
This course includes:
- Five two hour lessons of 125cc training.
- Arrangement and booking of your DSA tests
- DSA test fees.
- Use of a motorcycle whilst in training.
- Use of helmet, gloves & wet weather gear.
- Third party insurance.
- VAT
- Petrol
A pass of the module 1 and module 2 tests will allow you to ride any motorcycle that is restricted to 33bhp. The restriction lasts two years, after this you are able to ride any capacity motorcycle with your full motorcycle licence.
Post Test Training - Your bike £60/Our bike £80
We offer post test training for people who have just passed their motorcycle test. This is great for boosting confidence. To have an instructor out with you on the road whilst you are getting used to your own bike or want a little refresher lesson can be really helpful. *
Advanced Training Session - £60
This is designed to lead you to the RoSPA Advanced Riding Certificate. We have instrcutors authorised to instruct and arrange tests by a qualified RoSPA examiner. Our instructors are Police Class One riders who will assess and advise you on the training programme and number of sessions required. Remember - this is a test of competence only, but it will improve your riding skills.
